Where to Eat in Fort Walton Beach | Living in Fort Walton Beach

Are you feeling a little hungry here in the Fort Walton Beach area? Well, whatever it is that you're in the mood for, I'll be able to tell you exactly where to go to satisfy those cravings. I have a list of the top local favorite restaurants here in the area.

So where to get some grub here in Fort Walton Beach? Well, we are on the Gulf Coast, so you might be craving some seafood. If that's the case, one of my personal favorites, and an all-time local favorite, is Stewby's. There's two locations. There's one on Racetrack Road and one on Okaloosa Island. Always a long line during dinner hour because the fresh food is so great.

My personal favorite is the fried oysters and the potato salad. The potato salad is a mixture of that and mashed potatoes, which is why I personally like it. I know my daughter gets the same thing every time we go to Stewby's. She likes to get the fried calamari and the cheese grits and the barbecue baked beans. But definitely check Stewby's out. It's a great place to go if you do want some seafood.

Now, if you want more of a beachy atmosphere, I definitely recommend The Crab Trap. And that is located at the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. So you can sit down and have your crab legs or whatever seafood that you like while you enjoy the beautiful scenery on the beach.

Now, if you have more of an American craving, a great place to check out is a fairly newer place called Pallet Bar & Grill. It's, like I said, a newer place, and a lot of people say good things about it. They do have a large selection of beer on tap. So if you love your beer, great place to go. They have chili. They have ribs, mac and cheese. All your little small, tiny favorites. And they have great atmosphere as well. If you'd like to just go and hang out and eat your food, definitely check out the Pallet Bar & Grill in Fort Walton Beach.

You're craving some Southern food? Great place to check out is Mary's Kitchen. It's located in Uptown Station off Eglin Parkway. So you can have your meatloaf and your mac and cheese, maybe some fried catfish. And they have some great appetizers, too. A lot of people like the fried pickles or fried green tomatoes. I've actually tried that once for the first time not too long ago, and I actually really did like it. So if you have your Southern craving, definitely check out Mary's Kitchen.

Now, if you're craving barbecue, a great spot to check out would be Parson's. And that's located on Walter Martin. And that's a great place to go if you want a big old platter that you can have a variety of things on your plate. They also have sandwiches and breakfast as well. They have breakfast tacos and a great omelets. My personal favorite to get from Parson's is the burnt ends and the mac and cheese, but a lot of it's really great. I just wanted to let you know what my personal favorite is just in case you need some recommendations.

Now, if you're looking for a place to go for some breakfast or brunch and you like the little small-town feel, a great place to go would be Joe & Eddie's on Eglin Parkway. So if you want to check out someplace different other than Denny's or Waffle House, Joe & Eddie's is a great place to go for breakfast. And another spot would also be a place called The Breakfast Place. Great little spot on Beal Parkway. So make sure you check that out, too.

Now, if you're craving Mexican, a great local favorite would be Pepper's, located in Shalimar, Florida. They're actually getting ready to open a second location for Walton Beach as well. They also know how to put you on the spot on your birthday. I personally had that experience. It's a great staff, great service there at Pepper's. Again, that's located in Shalimar. Another great place to go if you like a good old fashioned burrito would be Burrito Del Sol. And that's located downtown Fort Walton Beach. So make sure you check that out.

Now, when you're thinking about Italian food, for most people, the first place that comes to mind would be Olive Garden, which is one of my personal favorites as well. I always love to get the chicken alfredo, but I do have other times where I'll just eat bowl after bowl of chicken and gnocchi soup, And, of course, the salads and breadsticks are always amazing.

But if you want to check out a place new or a place different for you other than Olive Garden, definitely check out Clemenza's. That's another local favorite and that's located in Uptown Station. They have great food, great atmosphere, great selection of wine. Of course, I'm a huge fan of pizza. So I like to get their brick oven pizza whenever I go to Clemenza's.

Speaking of pizza, if that's what you're craving, another local favorite would be FUBAR and that's located on Okaloosa Island. So that's a great place to go if you're just getting off of the beach and worked up an appetite out from swimming or playing in the water. Definitely check out FUBAR. It's great. Another little environment for you to sit down and have a beer, and eat some pizza, and sit down with some friends. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. And another local favorite for pizza would also be Helen Back. So make sure you check that out as well.

Now, if you're into sports and you want to sit down in a nice little sports bar, of course, one of the local favorites would be Buffalo Wild Wings. And that's located in Uptown Station as well. You can also check out Slick Mick's. And that's located just a short drive from Uptown Station at Eglin Parkway. Another great atmosphere if you like the sports bar type environment.

Now, I definitely cannot end this video without talking about desserts. Now if you're craving some fresh baked pastries, a highly recommended place would be Bon Appetit French Bakery and Cafe. And if you want some ice cream, of course, everybody knows about Baskin-Robbins. And there's also Bippy's if you like frozen yogurt. The place where you can put all your extra little toppings on top of your yogurt.

And if you're craving some donuts, I mean some serious donuts, I would definitely check out Okaloosa Donuts. They have all kinds of specialty toppings on there. They do donuts with cereal toppings. Or anything you could possibly imagine that you would put on donuts, I pretty much think that they do it there. Of course, me myself, I'm pretty plain. So I like either regular glazed donuts or raspberry filled. But if you like your exotic type of donuts, definitely check out Okaloosa Donuts.
