Now, I've come across so many people that have lived up north for so long. And, they're just so tired of the cold weather and all the snow and they just want to get away from all that. So, when you're wanting to do that, where else would you go outside of Florida? Now, the temperatures here, I'm not gonna lie during the wintertime, it can get a little chilly. We have our little cold fronts here and there. But for the most part, the weather's beautiful like today, it's December and we're getting up into the 70s today. So, it's still a great beach day for those that live up north. There are a lot of people that I've met that come down here just for the winter months just to get away from the cold and we call them snowboards. But if you're looking to relocate here because of the weather, It's a great choice for you to move the Destin, Florida.

3. SHOPPING AND ENTERTAINMENT

You have a lot to do in Destin, Florida that will satisfy everyone's needs as far as what they want to do for the day. You want to go shopping, there's Destin Commons. So many retail stores to choose from. There's also a movie theater out there. Starbucks if you need your coffee break. And there's a candy store if you want to get your bags of candy. Lots of clothing stores and there's Sephora for you ladies that like to get your makeup. And also there are the Silver Sands Outlets if you like your major brands, like Nike, Coach, and things like that. So check out those two outlets for sure if you like to do some shopping. There's also The HarborWalk Village. Now, that's located just over the Destin Bridge right at the Emerald Grand. There's lots of entertainment out there, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from, and Retail shopping. And it's right on the water so you can rent out your jet skis or get on a cruise. There's zip lining there as well. Lots of little food trucks for you to choose from. So make sure you definitely check out the harbor walk. Now, there are also villages at Baytowne Wharf where they have a lot of entertainment out there too. They have live bands, there are also movies on the lawn too where they'll put up a big screen. You can just sit out with your chairs or your blankets and watch a good movie with the family. But you just make sure you check in with the events because they might have other, certain times of the year they'll have special events out there where you can go out. A lot of times it's free or if you want to do a donation. Now, if you're looking for some adventure up in the sky, you can go on a helicopter ride as well so you can check out the great views of the coastlines. You can see the beautiful emerald green waters and the white sands from up above. So, make sure you check that out if you're not afraid of heights.

4. EASY ACCESS TO WATER SPORTS 

The quick and easy access to water sports and lots of water fun. Now, you have your opportunity to rent out Jet skis and pontoon boats. And you can even go on sunset dolphin tours or even get on a pirate ship. So, Destin has lots of these opportunities. There are lots of places that rent those items out to you if you don't have your own. And also don't forget to check out Crab Island where you can have lots of fun in the water. Water is about waist deep out there and there's a lot of people out there that like to bring their boats out and just sit out there and have a great time.

5. THE BEACHES

Last but certainly not the least is, of course, the beaches. Now, Destin is known for its beautiful white sands and gorgeous emerald green waters. So, if you're not up for all the water sports and all that fun out on the water, you just want to layout and relax. There are several beach access points for you to get to the beautiful emerald green waters out in Destin. Or, even if you own a condo, you're just feet away from the water. And if you're looking for a place to hang out with friends, you can just check out Noriega Point or Henderson Beach. Those are great places to access the beach and have your fun out however long you want to sit out there. You're going to be able to enjoy it, but like I said, the beautiful white sands and the emerald green waters.
