Things to Do in Gulf Breeze FL

Gulf Breeze, Florida has been the topic of many discussions I've had over the past few weeks. So today, I figured I'd just do a quick video and talk about some of the things to do, places to go while in the area. Whether you live there or you're just visiting and even if you are familiar with the Gulf Breeze area already. I might even mention a place that you haven't even thought of to visit or even haven't heard of yet. And you might want to go check today. So, stay tuned.

So, just some general information about Gulf Breeze for those of you that are not familiar. Gulf Breeze is located in Santa Rosa County right here in the Florida Panhandle. Of course, this area is known for the warm weather and beautiful beaches. Gulf Breeze is surrounded by Santa Rosa Sound in the Pensacola Bay. So, if you look on the map, you will see Gulf Breeze located right in between Pensacola and Navarre. So many people have heard of Navarre and Pensacola, but somehow it just overlooked Gulf Breeze. But it is right there, still a great place to go. Now, there's also strong economy in Gulf Breeze. So, there's a combination of small businesses and larger corporations. Health care and Education is among the top industries in the area. So, there's definitely great employment opportunity. I do see a lot of development in Gulf Breeze as well. Lots of homes homes and townhomes being built around the area. And there's some road construction too, so lots of improvement going on. And there's also a lot of things to do around Gulf Breeze. Of course, you're close to Pensacola and Navarre. So, if you kind of want to venture out, you can go either direction and you can't go wrong.

Alright. So, just to get right into it, things to do in Gulf Breeze.

GULF ISLANDS NATIONAL SEASHORE

First, there's the Gulf Islands National Seashore. It's a beautiful beach park with the white sand and crystal clear water. They have nature trails and provide a great place to be able to enjoy the scenery, so that's awesome for you outdoor lovers.

PENSACOLA BEACH & NAVARRE BEACH

There's the Pensacola Beach. I mean, you cannot come to this area and not enjoy one of the local beaches. So, Pensacola Beach is just right around the corner from Gulf Breeze.  And, there's also Navarre Beach down the road as well. So, I mean, you just really have the easiest access to get to the beach from Gulf Breeze. So, Pensacola Beach, again, it's going to come with a lot of water activities, obviously. They're like jet skiing, parasailing, paddle boarding, and many more being whatever you like to do out on the beach, you'll be able to enjoy that and soak in the sun if you just want to lay out and just enjoy the scenery, enjoy the waves.

NAVARRE BEACH MARINE PARK

Then you have the Navarre Beach Marine Park. It's a great place for nature lovers as well, and explore the sea life and local ecology. It also has the marine science station, a butterfly house, and nature trails. So again, if you just like to go out for a walk and enjoy the scenery, it's another great place to go, which is the Navarre Beach Marine Park.

GULF BREEZE ZOO

You also have the Gulf Breeze Zoo. I have recently visited Gulf Free Zoo, but before my recent visit. The last time I was there, I was maybe 15 or 16 years old, many, many years ago. But I just recently had a birthday and wanted to keep things low key. And, I just decided to check out the Gulf Breeze Zoo since it had been so many years since I went. So, I just want to catch up with the animals, see what they've been up to. Definitely enjoyed my time out there with my family spent a couple hours out there. I mean, there's hundreds of animals, so there's lots to see out there. I mean, there's giraffes, zebras, rhinos, alligators, owls, emus, so many to name. Again, there's hundreds of animals out there. And of course, you have your opportunity to feed some of them as well. Definitely, cannot go to the Gulf Breeze Zoo without feeding the giraffes. That was the thing I was looking forward to doing. They're just so cute, so adorable. Of course, the tongue still kind of freaks me out a little bit. So, I am hesitant when I feed them. But, again, that's something that I can just not do while visiting the Gulf Breeze Zoo. So, definitely check that out if you're an animal lover.

SHORELINE PARK

And, we have Shoreline Park. This is a place where you can go to just enjoy picnicking, fishing, kayaking. Again, it's just another great outdoor place to visit if you like to be outdoors. There's also the Gulf Breeze Community Center. This center offers a variety of activities for all ages. There are fitness classes, sports leagues, and summer camps. So definitely a great place to go. Again, whether if you by yourself or with a group of people, check out the Gulf Breeze Community Center.

INDIAN TEMPLE MOUND MUSEUM

And then, you also have the Indian Temple Mound Museum. So, if you are history buffs, this is an awesome place to visit. It offers a glimpse into the history of the native Americans that used to live in the area.

There's a lot of things to do in in Gulf Breeze, but I just wanted to name some of the top few places to visit just based on what other locals have talked about, visiting or suggested, and some of the research that I've done. However, if you are looking to move into the area and you want to entertain Gulf Breeze, feel free to reach out to us as well. We'll help you decide if a great place for you or not as far as housing. Housing, I mean, it's affordable, but again, it just depends on the location and the type of home that you're looking for. So, expect to come out of pocket a lot of money if you were looking for a waterfront home. But, if you're looking for something more affordable, there are homes that are in the lower three hundreds, really in the upper two hundreds for what I'm seeing lately. And there have been like 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom homes going into the three hundred range. So affordable housing, but again, reach out to us so we can help narrow things down and find the right place for you. If Gulf Breeze isn't a right place for you to live, we can definitely still help you find a place maybe in Pensacola or Navarre.
