Remote Jobs in Florida 2023

Are you looking for a remote job? Maybe, you want to move down here to the Sunshine State of Florida. Well, if so, then you've got here to the correct video. We're going to go over some of the particulars and changes to our market now as of 2023. And what you can anticipate and what the prospect of that would look like. So, stick around.

So, let's get into it. Let's talk about remote jobs in the entire state of Florida here in 2023. So, ever since the pandemic 3 years ago for COVID-19, it really kind of accelerated the job outlook for remote work. Now, if you're familiar with remote work and maybe you've been researching this for a time, maybe you've read the 4-hour workweek by Tim Ferriss. Maybe you've been following him on blogs or followed a lot of other influencers. It just kind of figured out how to leverage their time and how to work remotely. Now, because of we were kind of forced into this and now everybody had zoom on their computer when we were just using FaceTime, like a lot of things accelerated into our market. The good news is, is now employers realize that they don't have to have employees in the office anymore. Which also lowers overhead and things like that and is very advantageous for specific careers. Right? And because of that, a lot of times we've put ourselves in a scenario where you really can live anywhere. So, maybe we want to move down to Florida to get away from the cold in the snow. And maybe, just visit and go up there, you know, during the fall when it's really nice. But now, you can enjoy these different lifestyles, weather, and of course affordability depending upon where you are at. And, as a result, these remote jobs are now becoming more and more prolific as we move forward in today's work environment in the United States. So, whether you're a freelancer, entrepreneur, employee, or you're just looking to work from home job, there's Florida specifically offers a wide range of different options that you can go here. Many businesses have really just adopted this trend. And it's easier for people to work from home now.

Now, Florida's remote landscape, providing that you have an internet connection somewhere and it's good enough for video. It's going to have a variety in different locations working from home. Why I mean that? Is that some of these locations will require you to come in once a week, once a quarter, whatever. Right? And maybe, completely outside of that. So, it could be in Miami, could be in Orlando, could be over here in Destin, whatever you needed. Right? Where you could be next to those nice beaches, Gulf Coast, what have you. So, the one thing I want to keep in the back of your mind though is if you are moving from New York. That's originally where I'm from. Say you're moving from New York and you're locating somewhere else. The first thing that I would say would be most ideal. Especially if you're going to purchase a home where you're going, is to go ahead and try to retain the job that you currently have in a remote status. Now, hopefully, you've made yourself a very prominent part of that business that your part of and see if you can do that.

Now, I'm taking this from the 4-hour work week, the book 4-hour work week. And, what you can do is start slowly but surely seeing if you can step out and take some a day, a week, two days a week until you can finally get to the point where you're completely remote. Now, providing that you can be efficient without somebody not looking over your shoulder, most of us can accomplish what we did in 8 hours at the office within s6 hours at home. So, you're way more efficient when you're not being constantly bothered by people over there or getting coffee and having a conversation that detracts you and all the different things that kind of take us away from doing what we're supposed to be doing. The reason that I want you to try to retain that job, is because when you move to another area and you're financing, the lender is going to need to see that you have employment in that area. So, if you're changing, traditionally, if you're changing jobs and moving down there, in order to get a loan, you would need to have some sort of letter from your employer saying that yes, they have this job and yes, this is what their salary is going to be. Which seems kind of tough when you're trying to interview for jobs and you're not there. Right? But if you can retain your other job, heck, that's going to be pretty darn good, right? So, make sure to try to do that first if you can or try to find a better job down here.

So, what are our typical top remote jobs in Florida?

Alright. So, first is customer service representative. Most of which that now that you talk when you talk to ones that aren't virtual assistants that are outside of the country. Lot of different places like Delta, American Airlines, you know, certain places like that. Most of them aren't in a call center, they're working from home. Right? Collection agencies, all sorts of fun stuff. The customer service representative is typically a remote job that you're going to find. Is one of the most prolific. Virtual assistants has been another thing that has come in, depending upon what sort of work you're doing as a virtual assistant. That is something else that you can take a look at. Know that as an unskilled virtual assistant, it may be a lot more competitive mainly because there are a lot of other virtual assistant companies coming out of other countries where the dollar goes a lot longer. Which means that employers can employ virtual assistants for a fraction of what they could, what it would cost here in the United States. So, keep that in the back of your mind. But as a virtual assistant with some sort of skill set behind it, you could still make some pretty good money. Now, social media manager is a big one as well that you can do. So, if you have training on that or if you've done it in the past, that's a big one. Data entry clerk where you're just punching numbers every day from and you don't need to be in an office for that. That's something of course that you can do if that's something you're interested in. Content writer. So, being a writer, right? Or maybe doing blogs or vlogs for people. Graphic designer providing that your computer keeps up at home. Web developer has been a new thing that has been coming around more virtually than anywhere else. Online tutor, whether you want to teach another language, maybe be a tutor for a specific class, those are mostly virtual now. Currently, my wife and I use a virtual tutor to learn another language and it's been really nice. Sales representative, heck, even us, some of us real estate agents, we don't even have an office technically, as most of us would just work from home because we have a cloud-based brokerage. Which is something that's been coming around. And project manager is the last one on the list. If you've got the certifications for that. So those are the top. That's not all inclusive, but those are the top hits that we had here in Florida.

Now, where to work from in Florida if you do decide to come out this way. So, there's a lot of different diverse locations. Remote workers can basically work from home, work from anywhere that you have a Wifi connection and you can get the job done. Right? Because, each different place is going to have a unique lifestyle and benefits depending upon where you want to go. Some of the best locations according to our poll on the internet, some of the research we had.

Number one was Miami. Mainly because of all the diverse things that you can get in that city and it's constantly hot all the time. Orlando, it was hot, was number two. Of course, Tampa, Jacksonville, Sarasota, and of course up here in the Gulf Coast. That's right, Destin, Pensacola, Panama City Beach. That's right, should have been number one. And of course, you can go to the capital of Florida in Tallahassee. There are just anywhere that you want to go that you have a good Internet connection. You got the skill set to get it done, you can work virtually.
