Buying and Selling Real Estate During the Coronavirus Pandemic
Buying and Selling Real Estate During the Coronavirus Pandemic
We want to give you a little insight into how our real estate buying and selling process has changed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
1. Virtual Consults
Whether you're a buyer or seller, we can do virtual consults via Zoom or another webcamera type platform in order to educate and inform you of everything you need to know about buying or selling a home.
2. Search for your favorite homes together (if you're a buyer) on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
We will collectively go over all available listings virtually or by email depending on your preference.
3. Once we find about 5 of your favorite homes, we will set up virtual tours for buyers
We can walk through the home for you and either talk to you on FaceTime or Skype, or whatever platform works best for you, to show you around the property. Once we narrow it down to your favorite property, we can schedule a time for you to go view that one property in person if you so choose to do so.
4. We can also set up virtual tours for sellers
We can have a professional photographer come out to your home to take photos of your home. We already offer this as a service for our clients, but in a time when potential buyers are mainly looking at pictures of houses online, it is important to have quality photos. We also have the option to utilize 3D Matterport which is a 3D video virtual tour that allows people to walk through a home through an online website.
5. We can go over any documents through Zoom and electronically sign them
You can sign any documents from home.
6. Title & Escrow Services
You can wire your EMD/deposit electronically to the title company, or whoever is holding your escrow money, without having to go anywhere.
7. Buyers don't have to be at the home inspection
Inspectors will do the inspection then email you the inspection results. We will go over the report on the phone or via Zoom with you.
8. Sellers can do a pre-listing inspection
We can have a pre-listing inspection completed (free of charge) so that buyers can write offers without ever stepping foot in your home. This way we can inform buyers of any problems and negotiate them up front to get your house sold.
Additionally, we are offering to have the home professionally cleaned for you prior to closing.
9. Closing Time
We have been authorized to use mobile notaries. Whether you are a buyer or a seller, mobile notaries will come to your home to get all closing documents signed. After you have closed, someone from our team will come personally deliver your keys so you can move in to your new home!
