Activities you can do with your family at the HarborWalk Village

Traveling to Destin, want some information on the HarborWalk, well, you're in the right video. So, stay here for not just information about that, but the surrounding area and how it affects how you can have good time while visiting Destin.

Alright. So, let's talk about activities to do when you're in Destin at the HarborWalk. Right? So, the HarborWalk, of course, is in Destin, it's in downtown Destin. It's a popular destination for families and it's got a lot of stuff to do whether you're on vacation or you're living in this area and just want to spend the day or the weekend. There's a variety of restaurants, shops, entertainment options, and it really offers something for everybody, all across the board. Some of the most popular activities that you're going to find down there on the HarborWalk is actually simply just walking around. And, kind of taking a look at the views of the harbor, looking views across the, you know, area into the base. It's just breathtaking views for all the visitors that come through there. Check it out the boats down at the harbor. Maybe stopping to, you know, get a delicious libation somewhere or going to the top and going and getting a delicious drink, alcoholic or not and getting a slice of pizza adjusters. There are just a ton of different things for you to go check out.

Of course, there's a variety of shops and boutiques, lots of souvenirs, if that's something you want to go after clothing and a bunch of other items. Now, if that's not enough for you, there's plenty of thrilling activities to go do out there. Of course, if you come to Destin, this is one of the great places go watch dolphins. So, we have dolphin tours, snorkeling, parasailing, jet skis, you can rent a pontoon boat, head out to Crab Island, which we'll talk about a little bit later. There are tons of different stuff that you can do, and just really excited, right? If you want to go into the dining of that area, of course seafood is where it's at down here. It's fresh, it's locally caught, and it's delicious. As well as a variety of other cuisines all the way from Italian to Mexican food.

Now, many of the restaurants also offer those kid friendly menus as well. So, if they're like, I don't want seafood and you're like, that's what I want. They can have chicken fingers and they can just deal with it. It's what they wanted anyway. Alright. We also have the Crab Trap, AJ's is a big area down there. I remember years ago, it's just a small little place, but now they've expanded out. There's a stage out there, there's outdoor seating. There are several different floors depending on your experience. What sort of experience you want. Of course, it's going to be there at AJ's Seafood, and it's pretty good. You're like oysters, of course, the Oyster Bar, you got Harbor Docks as well which has great views actually every place here does. Many of these restaurants, just on this harbor, just have those views. And it's just a perfect place to kind of relax, unwind, and just really just kind of explore around. Kind of kick your sandals up, you know, that's right, kick your sandals up, and just enjoy your time. It really is. Overall, we're going to say that the HarborWalk Village in Destin, if you're going to be in Destin, it's definitely a must visit area. Again, with a wide, wide range of activities. What are some of these? I believe that they've got some more adventure sports out there or you can like jump off a platform and it catches you right at the last second. I haven't been braved enough to go up there but there's a bar next to it so I just sat there in and try and watch the kids go do that. There's a zip line that goes almost all the way through the entire area. Which I still haven't ventured out to do. At the base of that, you also have a little, little amphitheater that's in there. They also have different festivals, so definitely check the calendar of different festivals that they have down there to check out. There are areas for the kids who've got games and things like that. And of course, a host of bars, restaurants, and everything else that you would want to go into.

The big portion here too is getting access to the area across the bay too. If you do get a jet ski or rent a boat, you have Norriego Point which is on the other side of the harbor. It's a public area, it's a public beach which you can get over to. Now, if you drive over there, the parking situation isn't all that great. Right? But if you are able to get out there, they've got these little places that they put in so you don't get beat up by the waves for swimming and just kind of hanging out. And, that's really never all that crowded. So, if you want a place to really kind of relax, Norreigo Point is going to be the place to go. Of course, you can do swimming, sunbathing. There's plenty of other activities all throughout there. You can build some sand castles, maybe play some beach volleyball and just whatever you want to do down the shore. Now, there are several beachfront restaurants as well as cafes, that, of course, you can go check out as well.

So, let's talk about Crab Island. We've been talking about that. It's really just a short boat ride from the HarborWalk village. It's actually a really popular destination for everybody. So, if you want to go out and bring the kids out, you can rent a boat or get a water taxi out there and it's a pretty fun atmosphere. They typically have these barges out there, there's food. If you want your own delicious alcoholic drink you have to bring those out. They don't have those out there, so be forewarned. Of course, the kids if you're bringing them out can enjoy swimming, playing in the water. Adults, you know, you can get on a float, soak up the sun. It's kind of a rowdy crowd if you want to go out and find it. Okay? But it's really, it's really fun for everybody. You can kind of be in your own little area if you want to. Most will go out to Crab Island. It's not an island, it's about a foot of water and its lowest place. And people would just anchor up and maybe connect each other's boats and play music, have a couple of drinks, and it can be a really, really fun time. If you're wondering how long that actually takes from actually the HarborWalk, it typically takes somewhere between 10-15 minutes to get there. But really good time. Alright.

So, this is a real estate channel, so let's talk about real estate as well. If you are thinking about investing in this area, there are plenty of different condos that are throughout there. So, there's plenty of places to invest when you are down in this area. If you are looking to invest into a condo down there on a harbor walk. One of the big popular areas that big complex is the Emerald Grande. They also have condos that are for sale and they have time shares. Now, our team doesn't necessarily deal with time shares, definitely do your own research on that before going into it. But if you are interested in condos and getting those and seeing if it's a good financial decision, of course reach out to us, we'd be happy to help. But there are plenty of other condos and other areas that you can use for short term rentals. In order to get a cash flowing asset that you can go down, enjoy the Destin area. And then basically, have it pay for itself. And or make you a nice cash flowing asset down in this beautiful beach town. Now, this area is full of vacationers, potential for rental income and appreciation. Yeah, this is a great place to invest. It's one of those reasons I personally live in this area, is for those opportunities. But, definitely if you want to check that out, if you have any questions about where our market is going. As of the date of this video is 2023. So, the buying power and investing power has been a little bit different. But that's also advantageous if you're a cash buyer.
